Artist Statement
Transition can mean so many things… As I move through it in my practice and process I experience a wide range of discovery. Staying open to exploration and the lessons of experimentation I am able to discover new perspectives and outcomes. Collaborating with Mother Nature has always been a fascination of mine — in environmental installations, in foraging, painting, and now in plein aire printmaking. Working outdoors with natural materials and ever changing conditions while employing my sensibilities as a printmaker— layering, adding and subtracting, and combining— I am continually amazed by outcomes and results. These investigations offer me hope through new perspectives for embracing change.
