Kingston Gallery is one of the oldest artist-run cooperatives in New England, with the mission to support, nurture and showcase a wide array of contemporary art in all media. The gallery is governed, staffed, and maintained by artist members.

Kingston Gallery members mount a solo exhibition in the Main Gallery every 3 years and a solo exhibition in the Project Space in alternating years. Members’ group and solo exhibitions are augmented by group exhibitions and events curated by professionals from other institutions.

Responsibilities include attending monthly meetings, gallery sitting once a month, and committee work. Financial responsibilities include $150 monthly dues and a $200 non-refundable commitment fee, payable upon acceptance.

Application Details

Applications must include your Name, Address, Email, and Phone along with 15 images of recent work, an image description page, a resume, and a 250-500 word artist statement. You may include recent reviews or articles and a website and social media link if desired, though the work you submit takes priority. If you are submitting moving images, please indicate a three-minute segment for review by membership.

Images must be numbered (from 001-015) and formatted as follows: Jpeg and/or MP4s, 1500px on the longest side, and 72 dpi. The image list should contain the following: Image number, Title, Medium, Dimensions, and Year. Written materials should be submitted as PDF or Word documents.
